Safety & Agreements
This is a facilitated relational container with shared agreements around presence, consent, confidentiality, emotional responsibility, and grounded communication. It is not a therapy group — it is a communal learning environment for Queer folks ready to practice belonging together. Together, we’ll co-create the rhythm, pace, flow, and mutual agreements of the group as we move through this shared exploration.
Is this group therapy?
No. This is a facilitated support and practice group, not psychotherapy. We’ll be doing emotional, relational, and embodied practice in community - not clinical treatment.
Do I have to share every week?
You’ll always be invited to share, but never forced. You participate at the level that feels honest and sustainable in each moment.
What if I miss a session?
We ask everyone to commit to all 12 weeks. The work builds week by week, and the group’s depth depends on consistent presence. We understand life happens - but this container works best when we move through it together without gaps. If you already expect to miss more than one session, it’s best to wait for the next cohort.
Is this sober / substance-free?
Yes. If substances are part of your life, you’re still welcome. We ask you to arrive to each session sober and mindfully present.
What if I’m nervous about groups?
Totally normal. Many of us have been hurt in community. And we also believe community can also be a place of healing. We’ll move slowly, build agreements, and allow everyone to go at their own pace.
Closing Reflection
This group is an invitation to belong.
To be held and to hold others.
To reach toward, and to be reached for.
To practice being human — in all our complexity, tenderness, and power.
To reimagine community in a time which deeply needs it.
